Shooting Range Safety Rules
At all times:
Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. This means keep the gun pointed at your target, above horizontal position, or muzzle pointed toward the ground. Never carry your gun with the muzzle pointed up.
Know where others are at all times.
Never point your gun at or near another person.
Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
Always keep the action open and firearm unloaded until ready to shoot.
Shoot only at authorized targets.
Be certain the gun is safe to operate.
Know how to use the gun safely.
Use only the correct ammunition for your gun.
Wear ear and eye protection.
Never use alcohol or drugs before shooting or while on the range property.
Know and obey all range commands. You must follow the orders of the range officer.
