340 Defense Shooting Range
340 Defense is an outdoor shooting range and firearms training center serving the Washington, DC area including Northern Virginia, central Maryland and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
340 Defense has 4 shooting ranges: 15, 50, 100 and 300. We also offer firearms training provided by NRA certified instructors.
340 Defense welcomes all levels of shooters, from new to advanced.

Ranges
340 Defense has 4 shooting ranges: 15, 50, 100 and 300. The 300 yard range is a member benefit and it requires qualification observed by a Range Safety Officer (RSO).
Pricing & Memberships
340 Defense offers hourly and unlimited memberships. Guests (non-members) are welcome too. We offer 10% discount on annual membership fees for all first responders and military (active or retired).
Firearms Training
Interested in honing your shooting skills? Sign up for a public or private firearms course today.
NRA safety rules apply.
No convicted felons.
No alcohol or drugs tolerated.
Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian.
To ensure a safe range environment, all new visitors are required to attend a range safety brief.

Detour: Starting July 21, 2025, please access 340 Defense using the new Cline Lane roadway. Turn just south of our old driveway, take an immediate right, and follow the road to our entrance. Click here for map.

*Range office closes 1 hour prior to range. Last entry is 1 hour prior to range closing.
*Range is open all year except for Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
*Range may close early based on demand, weather or other extenuating circumstances. We recommend you call us at 304-725-0340 prior to visiting.
